مغزى الحياة عند أبي العلاء المعري في ضوء شعره
The fact of life in light of Abul ´ala- al- Muaari poetry
Abstract
Everyone looks at life from his own angle because every person has his own social, political, and ideological background. Some people look only at the dark side of life and that is why they feel difficulties in life because they look at such things that create tastelessness in a peaceful life. These people are blind to the beauties of life and are only focused on the dark side of life. They always complain about life and about those who live. Life, according to them, is all about hardships and tensions and death is the ultimate end. Life according to such people is like a prison that they can come out of only through death. These people are also called pessimists. The Arabic poet Abu al-A’ala al-Marri is one of such pessimist people and this article sheds light on the concept of life in his poetry.
