Scholastic Analysis of the Trust in Islamic Perspective
Abstract
To give wealth to a trustworthy person for the sake of safety and protection is called wadiyah/trust. The scholars of Islamic jurisprudence consider it desirable and rewardable action, to keep someone’s wealth as a trust at the consent of its owner. Returning of such wealth (without getting personal benefits) is a great virtue. Acceptance of such wealth is optional (MustaÍab), but it becomes trust when a person accepts it. Its safety and protection is obligatory on part of the trustee and he is libel to return it at the demand of its owner.
The given research article discusses in the light of Islamic teaching of the responsibilities of the trustee; and his domain for adopting different ways to ensure safety and protection.
