An academic and analytical review of the Muslim school of thoughts regarding understanding Hinduism
Abstract
The history of religions makes it clear that if one looks at the scientific repository of Muslim thinkers in terms of understanding Hinduism, there are two types of scholars or writers in Islamic history regarding Hinduism. In the first category are the scholars whose purpose is to preach Islam and for this, they have adopted a preaching and debating style. We can call them contemporary preaching school of thought. A second category is a group of researchers whose aim is to portray Hinduism in a scholastic and research style and carry out an analytical study of Hinduism. This commentary or analytical approach is generally made in an unbiased way in the academic context. We can call this group or category intellectual school of thought. However, there are some authors and books that are related to these two classes at the same time.
